Finally Broke the 2:50 Barrier,  Now just to achieve the 2:45 goal.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run 50 Marathons before I turn 50 years old, keep times under 3 hours.  Dream of hitting 2:30-2:45 speed range.

Very dissapointed with my time in this race.  I keep telling myself not every race can be a great one, but it still frustrates me that I was 2 minutes slower than last year.

I just have to get over this one.

4- 7:10  -- Slow up the dirt trail

5- 7:25 -- ""

6- 6:42 -- Faster but not fast enough

7- 7:05 -- Slowed a little

8- 6:31 -- A little Better

9- 6:57 -- Slower again

10- 6:49  - not much quicker

11- 7:04 - Slow again

12- 6:59 -- ""

13- 6:37 -- At least finished slightly quicker

 Uncomfortably warm for sure and a late start with the

women starting 30 minutes earlier.  The race was totally

disorganized.

So, I ran this morning and had a good run of 17.73.  Then in the afternoon I went and ran with a new group.  I tweaked my right foot / ankle and I don't know how I am going to recover. (CRAP) I really think it was the new shoes I wore in the afternoon run that I had never worn.

Ok, so after trying to pick it back up this week and really having a good push yesterday, I was really sore and slow today.

I am pretty sore, I am thinking I need to take a few days off again and hit the pool (which I hate)  I have to get over this soreness though, unsure of what it really is.  I really don't want to go to the doctor and hear that he wants me to take a month off.
